Here’s the details behind the creation of Cosmic Lotus.
We recorded the songs live at various locations, practice sessions and performances from 2012-2015.
We went through 100's of hours of pre-recorded material. It took almost a year for us to find and select what musical pieces we felt would best represent our aim. Which was to create, by popular demand, an ambient album suited for yoga, meditation, and relaxation.
All the “songs” on Cosmic Lotus were created in the moment and were completely spontaneous manifestations. We feel this channeling of music is the essence of the Flying Mystics. So of course, we were excited about the potential of releasing a CD made up entirely of spontaneous material.
We’re so very happy to be sharing this album with our fans. We thank everyone for encouraging us in this direction and giving us the incentive and support to offer more variety in our musical expression and offerings.
We hope you’ll enjoy listening to the music as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
